Last weekend, me and a friend drove to Dave and Buster’s all the way up in Jacksonville. This is one of my favorite places to hang out and we definitely do not have anything like it here in Orlando.

I could truly care less about the restaurant (which is not bad at all) but it is not the main attraction.
What is it then? ARCADE GAMES! Woohoo.. Yes, if you have never been to a great arcade place, then this is definitely something you need to try out at least once.

Some people from Orlando would tell you that Rocky’s place could probably be much like it.. but it is not. I’ve been to Rocky’s and it does not compare. D&B has a totally different style. It actually has two different types of restaurant inside the place; a formal dining area (where people go and celebrate birthdays and stuff) or the bar area, where you can just go grab some drinks, quick snacks and be on your way to the arcade machines in no time.

The concept of the arcade gaming place remains though, meaning you play and you get tickets that you can accumulate and use towards purchasing one of the little gifts they have at their reward shop right there. In theory, you could possibly accumulate enough points to even get a TV if you wanted to, but if you do the math, you would probably be paying twice as much if you went for it.

In summary, the place is great but perhaps a little bit of a long drive for the people in Orlando. Hopefully some day, the owners will come to their senses and realize that I would waste a lot more money on them if they were closer :P
